Exhibition & Tiësto

Dear Friends and family,

Exhibition: Home Deco

Starting on a public holiday (Thursday) till Sunday the 4th of May, my company joined an exhibition. Situated under the Petronas twin towers made the location perfect. We had our own big booth where we sold toasters, blenders, stoves, ovens, refrigerators and many more kitchen appliances. After being the high roller on the first day in small appliances I was asked to sell the high priced General Electric fridges. Like these huge American side-by-side units, equipped with icemaker/dispenser and a lot of other stuff. Plenty of space for 3 normal and 5 chopped up bodies was one of the usp’s (unique selling points ;). Selling them was hard and cost a lot of energy, nevertheless I manage to sell a few what made the sales staff very happy. Unfortunately no commission for me.

The event was great to do, got me out the office for a while, but cost me a lot of energy as well. To please all the housewife’s with answers on the weirdest questions made me understanding the products we promote more and more.

After packing everything in on Sunday evening, I went to bed quickly to make myself ready for a new working week. Finally on Friday I was off after 17 day’s working with only one day off. So yeah a looong sleep would have been good for my mind and body, but before I knew I was sitting in an Irish pub drinking a cold pint :).

Tiësto
After a long sleep I made myself ready to go to Tiësto! First a bus ride where the tire blow off and later a short ride in a pimped taxi. Eventually we arrived in Port Dickson. In Holland a bus would stop but not here! We still continued driving with a lot of noise on the emergency lane. After showing our 18 Euro(!) ticket we entered the festival area next to the beach. Cosmic Gate was already pumping up the crowed before Tiësto took it over. We danced bare feet and drunk Heineken beer till early in the morning. The festival was called freedom and yes we felt free like a bird.

Ps. Upcoming weekend a new travel experience. To give you a little idea I’m going to the only Southeast Asian country that doesn’t share any land borders with its neighbors.

Ps2. The first person that sends me his/here mail address will receive a postcard from me!
