Perhentian

Dear Friends and family,

We jumped into a taxi after a night of no sleep, to cross to the airport. While we where almost falling asleep our boy’s where fighting against Russia. In the morning we arrived at Kota Bharu where we took the boot to Perhentian Kecil, long beach exactly. This is a small island on the northeast coast of Malaysia, which is called one of the most beautiful islands in Malaysia. And it truly was… Beached with fine white sand and seawater clearer than a swimming pool in Europe! We spent the days and nights on the beach, get sunburned and entered a new world. As an “alien” in the water we snorkelled around the island. Our privet guide showed us the most beautiful places, what was really amazing. Swimming next to a big turtle, stingray, sharks and a lot of other big and small fishes took my breath away. In the evening we saw our little water friends back on the BBQ! Alcohol was illegal on the island but there was plenty of cheap stuff to finds from Thailand (including headache the next day) and some flying locals on our well know (Dutch) weed. After 4 day’s it was time to go home and to say goodbye to one of the most beautiful places on the world I have seen…
