Who is Bas?
Everybody loves to talk about him or herself so this is my moment! “Work hard, play harder” That’s the best reflection of myself. I see myself, as a dynamic person who can take a break with his friends, loves to be in nature, but can be found in a business conversation with a nice suit on as well. A dynamic life style gives me strength. I know what and how I want it and don’t mind working for it, so no bridge is to far it’s just a matter if I want to make the necessary sacrifice or not. I would say I’m a leading person, who is always considering the needs of other people. Some friction can appear because I’m very straight to the point what sometimes, especially by foreigners, can be seen as rude. For me as a Dutchman this is very normal and I think the world would be a better place if people would skip the bullshit and tell what it’s really about. This all sounds very serious which it is, but take a look at the pictures on this site and you will see that I love to make fun as well. Friends know to find me for an unbeatable evening, not because I’m so funny, but because I treat people with respect and try to get the best out of themselves.
All these skills can I use to complete my Marketing and Management study, which will happen in the summer of 2009. The decision to start with this study came from the time I was attending the hotel and catering college, which I finished in 2005. After 4 years of hotel businesses I did realize that I love to work with people and to please them, but not on the level of college. An easy and quick way would be to get a level higher in the Hotel business. This wasn’t challenging enough for me. And that brought me to Marketing & Management (M&M). M&M is a very dividing study in the Netherlands. And now in 3 year I can already say that it has been a very wise decision. On the welcome page you could read how great I think Internet is, but there is nothing better than talking to the person in real life with all the communication aspects. To be specified I rather talk than write :) What makes me visiting friends often in the Netherlands or abroad. Counting 32 countries I have visited so far, a big list of dream trips still coming up and the 3 languages I speak makes me a travel junkie. Can you tell me too where the next trip is going to be?
Greetings Bas Klein Geltink
